Koentadi Hadinoto, one of our students from Medan and also a PhD candidate at UNSW, won the 2022 Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) graduate research video competition. In his 2:50 minutes video entitled ​​’The Use of Plasma-Activated Water for the Bacterial Inactivation of Beef’, he discusses the creation of plasma-activated water and how the Australian meat processing sector can use it as a more hygienic and environmentally friendly disinfection.

 

The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) graduate research video competition is held to encourage students to showcase their graduate research in a creative and concise way. The research can be on any subject related to food science or technology. This year’s winner will have an opportunity to visit the Campden BRI in the United Kingdom.
